Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the ReciGom mobile app and web service operated by ReciGom LLC (California, USA). For privacy questions, contact contact@recigom.com.

• Account data: Google or Apple sign-in identifier, email, name, profile picture, and kitchen (shared workspace) membership
• Recipe data: saved recipe links, recipe titles, ingredients, cooking steps, notes, and shopping lists
• AI analysis data: submitted video URLs, video duration, analysis status, and save usage records
• Subscription state: App Store or Google Play subscription status and store transaction identifiers. We do not collect payment card details; billing is handled by the stores.
• Automatically collected data: login session cookies, and service logs such as access and error records
• App usage records: which screens you open, save attempts and their outcomes, whether a subscription notice was shown or acted on, and errors that occur. These go only to ReciGom servers and contain no text you typed, such as links or search terms, and no advertising identifier.

• Analyze recipe links, save recipe cards, and create shopping lists
• Apply Free/Chef save limits and fair-use limits
• Verify subscription entitlement, support refunds or cancellation state, and handle support requests
• Maintain service reliability, abuse prevention, and error investigation
• Understand which features are used and where they fail, so we can improve the service. This analysis uses only records stored on our own servers and is never used for advertising or shared with outside companies.

The following providers process data as needed to run the service. We do not sell personal data and do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

• Google Gemini API: submitted video URLs and the video content are processed by Google's AI systems to extract recipes. Under Google's paid API terms, submitted content and results are not used to improve Google's products or train AI models; Google may keep limited-duration logs solely to detect policy violations.
• YouTube Data API: used to check the duration of submitted videos.
• Google Maps: the regional recipe map screen is rendered with Google Maps. Loading the map sends device information such as your IP address to Google, and that processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store · Google Play: store transaction data is checked to verify subscriptions.
• Fly.io: server and database hosting.
• If you use the shopping link feature, ingredient names may be sent to the relevant commerce partner (for example Coupang or Instacart) to build the link.

When you share a kitchen, members can see each other's name, email, and profile picture, and saved recipes and shopping lists are used together by kitchen members.

We keep personal data for the periods below, and once the period ends or the purpose is fulfilled, we dispose of it promptly and irreversibly.

• Account data and personal profile: until account deletion. You can delete through the in-app account deletion path or the account deletion request page; subscription entitlement records linked to the account are removed together.
• Saved recipes and shopping data: until account deletion, except that data stored in a shared kitchen remains for the other members.
• Login session data: expires 14 days after sign-in. Temporary credentials created during sign-in are deleted the moment they are used, and within 5 minutes of expiry if they never are.
• Save usage records (request time, video duration, success or failure and its reason): kept for as long as we operate the service, linked to your account identifier. This prevents repeat claims of the one-time welcome credit, so these records remain after you delete your account, and signing up again with the same account does not restore free saves you already used.
• AI analysis records (model usage for cost and error investigation): deleted together with the kitchen they belong to.
• App usage records: deleted automatically 90 days after they are collected, or sooner if you delete your account.
• Minimum records needed for legal compliance, payment disputes, and security incident investigation: for the period required by applicable law or by that purpose.

Data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, including South Korea, the data above is transferred to the United States continuously as you create an account and use the service, over encrypted connections (HTTPS), to the extent needed to provide the service, and kept for the retention periods above. The recipients are ReciGom LLC (California, USA) (contact: contact@recigom.com) and the providers listed under "Processors and third parties" (via each provider's published contact), for the purposes described under "How we use it". You can refuse the transfer by deleting your account or stopping use of the service; because the servers are located in the United States, refusing the transfer means the service cannot be provided.

You can request access, correction, deletion, and suspension of processing of your personal data. Recipes and your account can be deleted directly in the app; for other requests, email contact@recigom.com. We act promptly after identity verification and aim to send an initial response within 3 business days.

We only use session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies, or advertising/analytics SDKs. Usage analysis relies on no third-party tool: it uses only the app usage records described above, stored on our own servers. Because we do not track users across sites or over time, we do not respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals, and we do not allow third parties to collect your online activity on this service. Blocking cookies in your browser may limit web sign-in.

• Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS.
• Data access requires an authenticated session, and users cannot access data of kitchens they are not a member of.
• Mobile auth tokens are stored in the device's secure storage.
• Operational access is kept to a minimum.

ReciGom is not directed to children under 14, and if we learn that personal data of a child under 14 has been collected, we delete it promptly.

When this policy changes, we post the update on this page with its effective date, and material changes are announced in the app.
